Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This policy explains how Waplia Digital Solutions (“Waplia”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects personal data when you visit waplia.com and its subdomains (the “Site”), contact us, or work with us. It applies to prospective clients, clients and visitors. Where the law requires consent (for example for measurement cookies), we ask for it explicitly.
1. Who we are
Waplia Digital Solutions is a software development company based in India, providing web, mobile, AI, cloud and design services to clients worldwide. For anything in this policy, contact project@waplia.com or +91 89558 23066.
2. Data we collect
Enquiry data. When you submit our contact form or booking dialog we collect your name, work email, mobile number, company name (optional), the service and budget range you select, your project description, and the page the enquiry came from.
Correspondence. Emails, calls and messages you exchange with us, including notes we take during scope calls.
Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) collected by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
Measurement data (consent-based). With your consent via our cookie banner, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement collect pages viewed, approximate location, device information, and whether a visit led to an enquiry. If you decline, these cookies are not set and the Site works fully without them.
Client project data. During an engagement we may process data contained in your systems, code and documents. That data is governed by the contract for the engagement, stays in accounts you own wherever possible, and is not covered by the retention rules below.
3. What we use it for
- Responding to your enquiry and preparing for a scope call.
- Preparing proposals and delivering contracted services.
- Invoicing, accounting and meeting legal obligations.
- Securing and maintaining the Site.
- Understanding, with your consent, which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries so advertising budget is spent sensibly.
We do not sell personal data. We do not add you to a newsletter or marketing sequence because you asked us a question.
4. Legal bases
Where the law distinguishes legal bases (for example the UK/EU GDPR), we rely on: legitimate interest for responding to enquiries and securing the Site; contract performance once an engagement begins; legal obligation for accounting records; and consentfor measurement cookies. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) we process enquiry data for the purpose you provided it, and measurement data only with your consent.
5. Cookies
Essential operation of the Site sets no tracking cookies. Measurement cookies (the Google tag for GA4 and Google Ads, with Consent Mode) are set only after you choose “Accept” in the consent banner. You can decline, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing this Site’s data in your browser, after which the banner will ask again.
6. Where data is stored and who can access it
Enquiry data is stored in a managed database. We use a small number of service providers to run the Site and our business:
- Hosting and content delivery (e.g. Vercel).
- Managed database services for lead storage.
- Google, for consent-based analytics and ads measurement.
- Email and productivity tooling for correspondence.
These providers process data on our instructions under their own security and data-processing terms. Some are located outside India, the UK and the EU; where required, transfers rely on safeguards those laws recognise.
7. Retention
- Enquiry data: up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Contractual and accounting records: as long as applicable law requires.
- Measurement data: per Google Analytics retention settings, capped at 14 months.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop processing it, by emailing project@waplia.com. We respond within 30 days.
If you are in India, the DPDP Act gives you rights to access, correction and erasure, a grievance process, and the ability to nominate another person to exercise your rights. If you are in the UK or EU, the GDPR additionally gives you rights of restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Residents of other jurisdictions may have similar rights, which we honour on request.
Grievances (India): address DPDP grievances to project@waplia.comwith “Grievance” in the subject line.
9. Security
Data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS. Lead data is stored in managed databases with access limited to the people who handle enquiries, and spam submissions are filtered server-side. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
10. Children
The Site is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We update this policy when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the Site.
